This tour brings together two different but equally momentous pages of history. You will trace the footsteps of the Trojan War, which took place thousands of years ago and was the subject of Homer's epic poem the Iliad, alongside the Gallipoli Campaign, one of the bloodiest and most talked-about battles of the 20th century. Both sites affect visitors in different ways; while Troy captures your imagination, Gallipoli leaves you in deep reflection.

The Gallipoli Peninsula

Departing early in the morning from Istanbul, we arrive at Gallipoli. Accompanied by a guide, you will visit the Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair memorials, Anzac Cove, The Nek, Johnstone's Jolly, and the Anzac Museum. These sites encompass the areas where Australian, New Zealand, British, and Ottoman forces clashed during World War I. Even though the region now has the appearance of a peaceful historical park, the historical weight it carries cannot be escaped with every step.

Troy in the 2-Day Option

On the second day, the ancient city of Troy is visited. Also known as Troya, this is the land where the legendary Trojan Horse and the stories of Helen took place. Archaeological excavations are still ongoing, and the museum, which has been significantly improved in recent years, helps you understand the region much better. You almost come face-to-face with history in this area, where nine different cities from different eras were built on top of one another.
